Scriptorium Initiative
    Fellowship

    A global learning [_community]

AI is no longer a tool on the side.

Messages are generated, adapted, tested, and redistributed without direct human intervention. Meaning travels faster than intent. Trust is increasingly shaped by systems rather than individuals.

Senior communication leaders already feel this shift. What is missing is not awareness, nor access to tools, nor exposure to trends. What is missing is a place to think it through properly. The Scriptorium Fellowship exists to provide that place.

It is a deliberately small, closed circle for leaders who recognise that the foundations of their profession are shifting, and who want to shape what comes next rather than respond under pressure.

Not a programme to optimise the present. A space to prepare for what follows.

For decades, communication leadership was built around channels, cadence, and control. That model no longer holds.

AI introduces synthetic stakeholders, autonomous agents, predictive narratives, and machine-mediated trust. These are not distant scenarios. They are already appearing inside organisations, often without governance, shared language, or strategic intent.

At the first Scriptorium gathering in Amsterdam, a shared realisation emerged.

The profession is entering a phase that can no longer be navigated with existing assumptions.

    The Inflection Point

What follows now is a [_choice]

To redesign communication as AI-native by design, or to accept increasing fragility by default.

Most organisations are not structured to pause and reflect at this depth. Daily pressure, crisis velocity, and vendor-driven narratives leave little room for second-order thinking. Yet this transition is not something leaders can afford to improvise.

The Scriptorium Fellowship was created as a transitional space.

A place outside the operational rush, but close enough to reality to matter. A place to think clearly, together, without stage pressure or sales agendas.

    The Programme

    What [_Fellows] Gain

    01

A trusted circle of senior peers

Invitation-only. A closed peer circle for leaders with organisational responsibility. Every fellow carries responsibility for reputation, trust, and narrative at organisational level. The value lies in shared weight, not abstract debate.

    02

Free access to the annual Scriptorium Initiative conference

All fellows can participate in the annual Scriptorium Conference as part of the programme, to exchange perspectives, share emerging work, and shape the next phase of the initiative.

    03

Four to six working sessions per year

A mix of in-person and virtual sessions focused on real questions leaders are facing. Not trend tours or inspiration theatre. Sessions explore emerging dilemmas, governance choices, scenario work, and the second-order effects of AI on trust, legitimacy, and organisational behaviour.

    04

    Early access to Scriptorium thinking

Fellows receive first access to whitepapers, research, frameworks, and work emerging from Scriptorium Labs. Material is shared while it is still forming, not once it is polished for public release.

    05

A seat at the advisory table

Once per year, fellows join the Scriptorium advisory board to challenge and help shape research priorities, experiments, and lines of inquiry. This input directly influences what is built next.

    06

    Direct access to the ecosystem

When relevant, fellows can step into Scriptorium Labs, pilots, and transformation programmes. This includes work on AI-native communication architectures and agent-based systems used inside organisations.

If that description fits, reach out directly.

    The Invitation

    Join the [_Fellowship]

If you are waiting for best practices to stabilise, this is not for you.

If you recognise that in-house communication leadership now involves architectural, ethical, and systemic choices about AI, then this conversation is already overdue.

The door is narrow by design.
